Prayers & Squares Workshop Day will be Thursday, June 21st in Fellowship Hall 1 & 2. Our group is an “open door ministry” which allows you to arrive, and to leave as your schedule allows between the hours of 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. We’ll be blessed with any amount of time you can spend with us.

You do not have to know how to sew in order to help with the many tasks we do. If there is a task you’re willing to try, we will help you to learn how to do it. An added blessing is that you may just meet at least one incredibly special new friend! Also, we have the necessary supplies to assemble some quilt kits. These “kits” consist of the items you need to make a prayer quilt, contained in a large Ziploc bag. Many of our members choose to take a kit home to work on at their leisure. It bears repeating that if you don’t feel comfortable trying a new task, you are welcome to come and observe while enjoying wonderful fellowship!

Remember to bring a bagged lunch and beverage if you’re staying for the midday meal at 12:30. Please label your lunch with P&S, your name and the date; refrigerators are available. Wearing your church name tag will help those of us who are not so talented in remembering the names that go with beautiful faces. As always, we ask that you leave your ego outside the door and always bring a heart for service. We hope to see YOU there.

A final thought to leave you with: Prayers & Squares is a chapter of an interfaith worldwide outreach ministry that combines the gift of prayer with the gift of a hand-tied quilt. Unlike many other groups that make quilts for charitable causes, the purpose of Prayers & Squares in not to make and distribute quilts, but to promote prayer through the use of quilts. Our motto is: “It’s not about the quilt; it’s all about the prayers.”
