The Englewood United Methodist Men (EUMM) offers members of the church and community an opportunity to meet on a regular basis to celebrate fellowship, stewardship and Christ in our lives.
We meet year-round on Monday mornings in Fellowship Hall for breakfast followed by a devotional message and an interesting program. Our meetings begin at 8:00 am every Monday.
EUMM sponsors and participates in numerous programs and services to benefit the church and community. We are currently continuing our scholarship and other outreach programs but on a reduced scale.
Membership is open to any man in the community. Come join us.
United Methodist Women
Our Englewood United Methodist Women’s group is a supportive and enjoyable fellowship of women who support numerous local and global missions. Monthly Unit, and smaller Circle, meetings include enlightening, informative and entertaining programs, volunteering opportunities and a business meeting. Our two major fundraisers: The Christmas Craft Bazaar in November and the Colossal Rummage Sale each February, assist us in supporting our missions and providing scholarships to graduating high schools seniors. All women are welcomed. For the current EUMW contact person, please call the Church office at 941-474-5588.
Family Promise serves homeless families with compassion and dignity. The organization pools existing community resources and enriches the volunteers and local host congregations who participate.
Englewood United Methodist Church and it’s members serve as partners with Family Promise of South Sarasota County which is part of a nation wide network of over 203 affiliates that have touched the lives of over 750,000 homeless family members. Our goal is to help families help themselves by giving them tools and the support they need to work through this life crisis. Family Promise’s model is nationally recognized for its effectiveness and success with over 74% of participants obtaining self-sufficiency within 9 weeks due to intense case management and community support. 60% of those served are children, most under the age of 6.
Kairos Inside Program brings positive and negative leaders of a prison together for a 3 1/2 day weekend based on a series of presentations, discussions, chapel meditations, and music led by a same gender team of volunteers. Every aspect of the weekend is rich in listening and loving from the weekend volunteers and a Christian community will start to form. Incarcerated participants who are released re-enter the outside world with a God centered perspective and a new desire to become productive citizens. EUMC Kairos ministry augments the Kairos Inside Program with special prison visits that include the 3 1/2 day “retreats,” half day reunions. Matt: 25:40 To learn more or volunteer, please contact Joe Chirillo at firstname.lastname@example.org or Reginald Santiago at 239-940-6667.
Kairos Outside is a ministry devoted to the family and friends left on the outside. It offers a comforting, non-judging retreat for women to support each other as they journey through the incarceration of a friend of relative. To volunteer at Charlotte County Correctional or other facilities, call Steve Kennedy at 941-809-2191.
Helping Our Returning Neighbors (HORN)
Helping Our Returning Neighbors works to create opportunities for previously incarcerated men to enter society through transitional housing, life skills and job training. The program begins while participants are still incarcerated. This 501(3c) ministry has been established for two years, raising funds and serving previously incarcerated men. It is growing in exciting ways. For more information, to donate, or volunteer, contact Steve Kennedy at 941-809-2191.

Child protection training is provided and all adults are back ground checked.
Annual Easter Egg Hunt
The Annual Easter Egg Hunt is held at EUMC every year, the Saturday before Easter. A fun family day that includes age appropriate egg hunts, crafts, games, rides, music, and treats for free.
