SERMON DESCRIPTION

In the United States, the 4th of July is known as Independence Day, celebrating our independence from the tyranny of the English monarchy. These 246 years later, we continue to celebrate that independence with fireworks and parades and joy in the streets! There is a great spiritual correlation to all this independence being celebrated today. We have received our Independence from sin and selfishness through what Christ has done on the Cross. We will remember and celebrate our Independence from sin and death through Holy Communion.
